Who We Are
Shillington Assembly of God Church is a locally led, district-affiliated church connected to the PennDel Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God. What that means is - we’re part of a bigger family of churches across Pennsylvania and Delaware, but our heart and leadership are rooted right here in the Shillington community.
We’re guided by a dedicated local leadership team and AG ministry leaders who care deeply about our mission, our people, and our future.
Currently, Tom Rees is serving as our Recalibration Pastor. As he leads us through this season, we’re praying, growing, and looking forward to all God has in store.
Whether you’re new to church, returning after some time away, or just exploring, you’re invited to be part of what God is doing here at Shillington Assembly of God church.
Our Recalibration Pastor
Tom Rees is a visionary leader with a deep love for the local church. He’s currently serving as our Recalibration Pastor, helping guide Shillington Church through a fresh season of clarity, alignment, and spiritual momentum.
Tom also serves as the Director of Church Planting and Men’s Ministries for the PennDel Ministry Network. He’s leading a bold initiative to plant 100 new churches across Pennsylvania and Delaware by 2030—believing that every community deserves a life-giving church.
Born and raised in West Philadelphia, Tom earned his Master’s in Education from Temple University. He’s taught ministry and leadership at the University of Valley Forge and the PennDel School of Ministry, with a passion for equipping the next generation of Kingdom leaders.
When he’s not coaching pastors or mentoring men, you’ll find Tom cheering on his Philly sports teams, cycling local trails, or spending time with his wife Sherry, their two daughters (Courtney and Britney), and their energetic 5-year-old granddaughter, Ellie.
“19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
- Matthew 28:19-20 (NKJV)
